DR LUKE INMAN Dr Luke Inman is a Specialist Sport and Exercise Physician. He is the practice owner of the Sports Medicine clinic in Dee Why. In addition to his role in assisting elite professional sports teams, (currently the Canterbury Bulldogs NRL team and the Sydney FC Mens soccer team), Dr Inman assists a wide variety of patients, young and old, by treating their injuries and returning them to their former physical function. His clinical expertise is in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of exercise related medical conditions and musculo skeletal injuries of the entire body. Dr Inman regularly treats patients who need help with the non-surgical management of long standing tendon pain such as; achilles tendinosis (aka achilles tendinitis), plantar fasciitis, gluteus and hamstring tendinosis, 'tennis elbow' and osteoarthritis pain in those not yet suitable for total knee or hip joint replacement. He is very experienced in the specialised use of ultrasound and Platelet Rich Plasma injections (PRP), Corticosteroid (Cortisone), Synvisc (Hyaluronic acid), Dextrose injections (Prolotherapy) and Shockwave Therapy for the treatment of arthritic pain and tendon related pain. Dr Inman has a complete understanding of the demands of elite sport having been a former professional athlete himself. He captained the Australian Sevens rugby team, represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games and played for three years with the NSW Waratahs Rugby team. He resides on Sydney's Northern Beaches with his lovely wife Raechelle and two young boys, Beau and Xavier. He is an active advocate of sport and exercise in the community.
